The water-repellent capability of Glaco Mirror Coat Zero prevents water from remaining on the surface even for a moment by lining the mirror with super-fine, microscopic studs. Compared to conventional hand pump sprays, this aerosol spray creates an even coating and shortens the process.

    Directions of use:
    * Clean side mirrors with a car shampoo or similar. In case the surface was coated with water-repellent agent or similar - remove it using an appropriate cleaner.

    1. Spray it evenly about 15 cm away from the side mirror.

    * We highly recommend putting a towel around a mirror while spraying, in order to not cover an unnecessary parts with fluid.
    2. Dry completely (in summer for 1 hour, in winter for 2 hours) and do not touch until dry.

    Really good water repellant coating…

Really good water repellant coating and very easy to apply. Steps I took to apply the coating on my heated wing mirrors were:

    1. clean with a degreaser eg Surfex HD (spray on, agitate with a brush then rinse off and dry with micro fibre towel).
    2. clean with IPA (spray and wipe off).
    3. shake the can and then spray onto mirrror from left to right, starting from the top to about halfway down).
    4. leave to dry (don’t cover as it”ll evaporate as it cures) and don’t touch for about an hour or so then job DONE.

I don’t whether it’s me or not but the mirrors dont seem to be attracting as much muck as they used to, and it seems to be working a treat. Don’t know how long it’ll last but excellent so far.

One final thing, my mirrors on my golf mk6 are heated, and switching on the heating mode in the mirrors (as a test) hasn’t affected the coating one bit!

    Great job

Easy to apply and works well

    Extremely hydrophobic

Initial impressions are extremely positive. Really easy to apply and so far has repelled water on wing mirrors really effectively. Doesn’t seem to work quite as effectively on rear view camera and shows halo flare from lights especially at night.

Cannot comment on the longevity of the product as only applied 2 weeks ago.
