The Classic Car Leather Care Set is a specialised classic car care kit that offers a comprehensive solution for the proper care of old, hardened automotive leather.

It contains all the necessary care products to optimally maintain and preserve the leather in your classic or modern classic car. By using the mild cleaner, the leather softener, and the appropriate leather care product, you can effectively prevent cracks in the leather surface and nourish your vehicle’s interior with essential oils and fats. This significantly contributes to maximizing the lifespan and preserving the valuable vehicle interior.

Colourlock products are easy to use, making them accessible even to non-experts. The package includes detailed step-by-step instructions that guide you safely through the entire care process. The necessary accessories are also included to ensure practical handling.

Recommended Use

Note:
Please test all products on an inconspicuous area first to prevent unwanted changes to the leather.

1. Cleaning – the foundation for perfect results
Before you treat your leather, it must be thoroughly cleaned.

Here’s how it works:

• Fill the empty foamer bottle with mild leather cleaner
• Apply the foam to a sponge – do not apply directly to the leather
• Clean the leather from seam to seam with the foam
• The leather cleaning brush makes it easier to remove heavy soiling deep within the grain.
• Lightly dampen the included cloth and remove dirt and cleaning residue
• Then let the leather dry completely
• Repeat the cleaning process if necessary

2. Old Leather Softener – Conditioner for brittle leather
Do not apply the Old Leather Softener until the leather is completely dry.

Application:

• Apply a small amount of Old Leather Softener to the second sponge or a clean cloth
• Apply evenly to the leather and rub in
• Then let the leather rest for at least 24 hours at room temperature
• Avoid direct sunlight and cold temperatures—park the vehicle in a sheltered area if possible
• Repeat the application if necessary (max. 3 treatments recommended)
• Note: The leather will only absorb as much Old Leather Softener as it actually needs.
• If there are still residues on the surface after 24 hours, the leather has reached saturation in which case one application is sufficient.

Follow-up cleaning

• After the absorption time, remove any excess product with Leather Cleaner Mild
• Proceed as described in step 1.

3. Care with Elephant Leather Preserver - for final surface care:

Application:

• Apply a small amount of leather grease to a cloth and spread it evenly without applying pressure
• Let the leather grease soak in overnight
• The next day, polish thoroughly to restore the leather’s natural texture

Note:
In cold weather, briefly warm the grease with a hair dryer to make it easier to apply
Regular, sparing maintenance (every 6–12 months) eliminates the need for later applications of Old Leather Softener

Important:
It’s better to condition more often but sparingly
Over-conditioning can seal the leather and cause damage!

• in2Detailing offers free Next Day Delivery for all orders over £65 within the UK Mainland.  Orders under £65 will be subject to a carriage charge unless otherwise specified.  Carriage options and prices will be displayed at checkout (please see below for more information on services offered).  Cut off for Mainland UK Next Working Day Delivery is 2pm (Monday to Friday).

• Our Next Working Day Delivery is applicable Monday to Friday with orders placed on Friday, or after the cut-off on Thursday, due to arrive on Monday.  Orders placed after the cut-off on Friday or on Saturday or Sunday will be SHIPPED on Monday to arrive on Tuesday.  We do not currently offer a Saturday delivery option.

• Our Courier Delivery Service is NOT A GUARANTEED NEXT DAY DELIVERY SERVICE.  Although couriers deliver over 95% of orders the next working day, we cannot guarantee every order will be received the Next Working Day.  Postal charge refunds will NOT be issued for delays caused by Couriers. 

• Royal Mail Tracked 48 is quoted by Royal Mail as being a 2 Day Delivery Service.  Please note - THIS IS NOT GUARANTEED.  Royal Mail Tracked 24 is quoted by Royal Mail as being a Next Day Delivery Service, again, THIS IS NOT GUARANTEED

• Orders outside the UK, but within Europe, will be charged a flat rate of £20.00 per order.  WE ARE CURRENTLY NOT SHIPPING TO EUROPE.  Apologies for any inconvenience caused.

• Carriage to Northern Ireland is displayed at checkout and will vary depending of the weight of the order.

• We aim to dispatch all orders within 1 working day of being placed.

• Carriage cost for all delivery options includes insurance for loss or damage in transit.

• Please ensure you have supplied us with a valid e-mail address so that we can confirm receipt of your order and contact you to assist you in monitoring it's progress.

• If your delivery can be left with a neighbour or in a safe place by your property, please advise us when placing your order and adding the appropriate door number or location in the "special delivery instruction section". Please note that we do not take responsibility for any packages that are left safe or with a neighbour.
