The Type 2 DIY Detail 8-year coating is pro-grade, yet user-friendly for the DIY detailing enthusiast. Extended durability is provided by a proven composite of polysilazane, SiN, SiC, and silicon dioxide (Si02). Easy enough for anyone to apply the ceramic coating, but with the durability of the best pro-only ceramic coatings.

The Type 2 DIY Detail 8 Year Ceramic Coating is our most durable coating. Perfect for the daily driver. And provides the base for The Stack with our Type 2 DIY Detail 3 Year Graphene Coating. Which can be applied between 1-8 hours later.

The Type 2 DIY Detail 8 Year Ceramic Coating is now PFAS free, so no forever chemicals. We have a new instant bond technology, taking the guesswork out of leveling. And you can wash with DIY Detail Incredible Suds or DIY Detail Rinseless Wash after 3 days of application. Vehicle can be driven 1 hour after application either rain or shine.

How to Apply Ceramic Coating:

Start with a clean and dry surface.
Wipe down with DIY Detail panel prep or C6 Adhesion Promoter Polish (APP).
Wearing gloves, in a well-ventilated area, apply several drops to the applicator pad.
Working in a circular motion apply the DIY Detail Ceramic Coating to a small area ( a front fender for example).
Allow to dwell for 2-5 minutes ( dwell time is dependent on temperature and humidity).
Observe the surface, as the coating begins to cross link to the paint, the coating will transition from a liquid to what looks like an oil slick on water.
When 50% of the surface turns back to clear, start leveling the coating.
With our Level One towel, lightly wipe the surface, if the towel is dragging, or is getting wet, wait 1 min more.
Once the coating is leveled, use a Freebird 400 to buff and remove high spots.

in2Detailing offers free Next Day Delivery for all orders over £60 within the UK Mainland. Orders under £60 will be subject to a carriage charge unless otherwise specified. Carriage options and prices will be displayed at checkout (please see below for more information on services offered). Cut off for Mainland UK Next Working Day Delivery is 12pm (Monday to Friday).
Our Next Working Day Delivery is applicable Monday to Friday with orders placed on Friday, or after the cut-off on Thursday, due to arrive on Monday. Orders placed after the cut-off on Friday or on Saturday or Sunday will be SHIPPED on Monday to arrive on Tuesday. We do not currently offer a Saturday delivery option.
Our Courier Delivery Service is NOT A GUARANTEED NEXT DAY DELIVERY SERVICE. Although couriers deliver over 95% of orders the next working day, we cannot guarantee every order will be received the Next Working Day. Postal charge refunds will NOT be issued for delays caused by Couriers.

Orders outside the UK, but within Europe, will be charged a flat rate of £20.00 per order. WE ARE CURRENTLY NOT SHIPPING TO EUROPE. Apologies for any inconvenience caused.
Carriage to Northern Ireland is displayed at checkout and will vary depending of the weight of the order.
We aim to dispatch all orders within 1 working day of being placed.
